Where is the Red Wolves Academy based ?
The Red Wolves Academy will train out of Salt Lake City. We have recently purchased land between the i215 and i80 in Salt Lake City where we will be building a full size indoor training facility. When this is built we will call it home for trainings and games. Until then we are looking at booking training facilities in the surrounding area.
What age groups does the Red Wolves Academy have ?
The Red Wolves Academy has 3 youth teams: U14 (2008/2009), U16 (2006/2007) and U19 (2003,2004,2005).
What league will the Red Wolves Academy play in ?
The Red Wolves Academy U19 team will play in the recently launched USL Academy league: https://www.usl-academy.com
The U14 and U16 will not play in any designated league and instead will have a games program made up of local and out of state competitive friendlies and tournament games. This for the young 2 age groups creates the perfect blend of competition and consequence for player development to take place. How is the Red Wolves Academy different to other clubs in the area ?
Unlike other clubs in the area the Red Wolves Academy is tied into a professional club system. There is a clear pathway for players that are good enough to move from our youth academy, through our USL 2 and USL 1 professional team.
How much does the Red Wolves Academy cost ?
The Red Wolves Academy is not free, however we are significantly cheaper than other local clubs who have elite or national platforms for example ECNL and USYS National league clubs. Our $1950 fee includes the highest level of coaching, full uniform, GPS tracking vest, insurance, fields and facilities.
How can I request a trial with the Red Wolves Academy ?
The Red Wolves Academy is a professional academy and as such is only looking for the highest potential and highest ambition players in Utah. Players can request a trial or a scout to come watch their games or footage by clicking on the "Player recruitment" tab at the top of this webpage.
Can I still play for a UYSA club ?
Yes, Red Wolves Academy players are actively encouraged to play soccer outside of the Red Wolves Academy environment. We believe the more you play, the better you will get. We will strongly recommend that each of our players has a grassroots club that they can play with and gain minutes with. The only requirement is that players make the Red Wolves Academy their number 1 priority for trainings and games and that they are sensible about their workload.
